The programmes assertion that Michaels was attacked because he conducted research that was part funded by the coal industry is highly misleading, given the full extent of his links with the wider fossil-fuel industry (see below).

Direct Corporate Funding

Michaels has received at least $100,000 from the energy utility Intermountain Electric Association, or IREA, and additional contributions from other utilities (see the IREA entry on page 152).

3.
